Pick 3 of your most important pages (homepage, main service page, top blog post). For each one:
Step 1: Copy any single H2 section from the page. Paste it into a blank document. Read it in isolation. Does it make complete sense without the rest of the page? Does it contain: a clear claim, supporting evidence, and attribution? If not, it fails the context extraction test. Rewrite it to be self-contained.
Step 2: Check the first sentence of that section. Does it state the key insight or answer directly? AI retrieval systems weight opening sentences most heavily. If your section opens with background or setup, flip the structure: lead with the answer, then provide context.
Step 3: Look for "context leaks" — phrases like "as mentioned above," "building on this," "the following section explains." These break context when AI extracts the chunk in isolation. Replace each one with the actual information being referenced.
Expected result: After fixing these three pages, you've improved the context quality that AI systems extract from your most important content.
